Fine Hand Crafted Jigs And Spins
For All That Swim

July 18, 2003.

A nice native cut throat trout taken from a one acre beaver pond. This pond is on the way back from a nice eight acre bass pond. I stopped off for a few casts just to see. The lure is a 1/16 ounce olive marabou buck tail jig coupled with a small Colorado safety pin spinner. This pond had lots of polliwogs and frogs. The olive marabou was just the ticket. The trout was near the end of the log in the distance and struck just a few turns of the reel on the retrieve. After I took the photo, this big boy swam away happy and I finished my 1.5 mile walk to my truck.

The bass were hitting finesse worms fished weightless and slow.
