That's why they are named Large Mouth. This bass was taken on a light action trout rod with 6 lb. line and a 1/16 ounce olive bucktail jig with a number 1 Colorado blade spin harness. This lure just keeps on 'ticking' catch after catch.

This is the largest bass I've taken in my local waters. The girth alone was outlandish. I would guess the weight to be between 7 and 8 pounds with a length of 20 inches.
