BigDaddye
Creations I taught junior high school thirty years. Upon retiring, I had lots of time to pursue fishing, which has been a life long sport since the age of six. I became interested in bass fishing when I discovered a large population of bass in a local pond. The large fish sparked a pronounced avocation. Upon discovering 'beetle spinners' the idea struck me that I could use my oldest son's fly tying kit to produce jigs of my own that would work with the safety pin spinner. The rest is history. My experience with fly fishing for trout has inspired many of the patterns presented on my site. Other patterns are sometimes a whimsy and others still are born from reading and experience. My goals for the site is to share my jigs and fishing experiences, while creating goodwill with other fisherman across the Internet. The name BigDaddye is the title I use when playing computer games with my children and grand children. I had to add the 'e', because the name 'BigDaddy' was already in use on the net. That's
me in 2002 on Beck's Pond. It all began here. This pond produces dozens
of catches a year. Not only bass, but crappie, perch and bluegill. Many
of the photos on my site are taken at this location. Most of my jigs prove
themselves in these waters. |
