This fly is tied using a 3/0 blood red Octopus hook. The tie consists of red throat hair, shades of brown deer bucktail body, ginger or gray hackle feather streamers and an elk or deer body hair hackle, all bound with bright red thread. This tie is fashioned after the popular bass streamer jig.

Add a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce inline spin and you've created a lure with plenty of fish fetching power.
