This crappie is only 7" or so. I'd been using a sunfish swim bait most the afternoon catching the nice bass seen below when this fish had big ideas. He got the whole 2/0 treble in his mouth. Lucky for him I was able to remove it with minimal damage. Sometimes our minds write checks we can't cash! |

These four bass were all landed using the sunfish swim bait. I needed a bait that would cover a lot of territory on this windy afternoon. It turned out the fish loved it. Even the three that came unhooked without being in my canoe . The two largest bass were 18" plus. Big for my part of the world. |
