Inline Spins and Ways to Rig Them.

BigDaddye inline spins are assembled with a stainless Duo-Lok clip for attaching the fisherman's hook or lure. I've been fishing these spins using jigs snapped directly to the Duo-Lok. I have also used a flutter fly in the same manner. One day I noticed fish being attracted to the spin, but not offering to strike my hook of choice. To catch fish they have to want to eat, so I changed the place setting just a little. I added about four inches of leader to The 1/32 ounce olive marabou jig I'd been using and gave it a cast. Like a good meal, it's all about presentation. Fish on!

Idea number two. I enjoy using light spinning rigs. While fishing with my son, who prefers trolling for trout with heavy pop gear and worm, I ganged four inline magnum willow spins together with a jig. These spins are light enough that they worked well as a troll with my light set up. I have to admit that my jigs were not as enticing as my son's worms (I wasn't gong to use live bait :>) ), but the rig did work fine. I just didn't get as many strikes.

Inline spins give any rig a little more weight, which helps put the lure where it's needed with a little longer casting range. They will run shallow or deep depending on the speed of the retrieve and weight of the sharp end. All BigDaddye spins work well at low retrieval speeds. The depth control feature is great, when you are fishing all kinds of cover. They help avoid all those snags and keep the lure in the strike zone.
